Casting Jerry Sienfeld’s Reality Show “The Marriage Ref”

NBC announced that it has begun casting couples interested in appearing on former Seinfeld star Jerry Seinfeld’s new The Marriage Ref reality series, which will premiere Sunday, March 14 at 8PM ET/PT.

NBC is looking for “outgoing, charismatic and opinionated couples” to appear on the show, and newlyweds are “encouraged to apply.”

Those interested in applying can email the show’s casting team at marriagerefcasting@shedmediaus.com or call the hotline number at 1-877-304-4040. Additional information is available via NBC’s website.

The Marriage Ref episodes will follow spouses who are arguing about something as they present their case to a panel of celebrities and comedians. The panel will then try to convince comedian Tom Papa which spouse is correct before he issues a final verdict.

YOOT MUSIC & FILMS’ AUDITION (Male /African-American/Comedic Role)
Yoot Music & Films is producing a short, HIV Prevention Film with the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. The actor should be: 1) Able to play, at least, a 30 year old professor; 2) An African-American male and; 3) Able to perform physical comedy. This particular scene will be shot on location at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and will take one day (a Saturday in February 2010). The role is not a paying position, but is for charity. Casting call for short film in Colorado – Award winning/produced writer, Pamela Cuming, of Sundance’s “Downloading Nancy” (starring Mario Bello, Spirit Awards 2010 nominee) and co-producer/writer/director at Angel Street Films is looking for experienced actors for their zany short comedy “Get Lovable Inc.” scheduled to shoot 2 weekends end of Jan./Feb. 2010.

Character Descriptions Mr. Gilbreth (Dad)- Carries himself with self-assurance of a successful man who is proud of his wife and family as well as his business accomplishments. Very much a disciplinarian. Mrs. Gilbreth (Mother)- is a gracious, attractive women. She is also a psychologist. In her own way she is often able to get better results with her large family more so than her disciplinarian husband. Children from oldest to youngest ages 17-7 Anne: about 17- attractive, sweet natured, but stands up to her father Ernestine: also the Co-Narrator Martha: speaks some German Frank: also the Co-Narrator Bill Lillian Fred Dan Jackie- Youngest child (could be a boy or girl) Mrs. Fitzgerald: The housekeeper- a kind woman who is completely devoted to the family. Sometimes her patience is tried by the ongoing chaos of the large family. Dr. Burton: The family doctor- a plain, outspoken man Joe Scales: Anne’s age- a very short, cocky chap Miss Brill: A teacher who has no love for the children and they have none for her. Casting for a comedic short film. The storyline is about a young couple in their 20s who meet through an online dating service and go out on a first date. The plot shows how far guys will go to impress girls.

This was written by an award winning writer/director and will be submitted to film festivals. It will be great exposure for your acting career and an amazing piece to add to your reel. Female Lead: Kate
She is in her early to late twenties. There are many emotions that she expresses throughout the story so you must be able to pull off the changes from being nervous to shocked to naturally inquisitive.

Supporting Male 1: The waiter
Looking for a male model type/struggling actor who plays the role of a waiter in a restaurant. Early to late twenties.

Supporting Male 2: Robert
Friend of the Lead, must be funny and able to pull off some authentic melodrama.

Supporting Female 1: Robert’s girlfriend
Early to late twenties, attractive.

Supporting Male 3:
You will be in a wheelchair, but rise up from the device and begin to walk – we need a convincing scene that a miracle just happened.

Key Extra:
You will be accompanying the man in wheelchair, his friend and witness of the miracle. We need someone expressive to help the viewer believe this really happened.

North Side Comedy is looking to cast a female part for a recently filmed sketch. We still need to fill the role of and a young attractive African American female. Models and actresses are welcome. Acting experience is not required but is a plus.

Director Alex Goldberg and Karrie Crouse. Sunset Television, an experimental comedy web series created by Columbia University film students, is casting its fifth episode. Our show has been profiled on numerous arts and comedy blogs and featured on youtube’s comedy page.

We’re casting for a surreal PSA style sketch in which a child is punished for making ‘extravagant wishes’ to a local Mystic.

There’s no pay, but you’ll have a fun clip for your reel, and the episode will be watched by a lot of people.

An enjoyable few hours with a cool group of filmmakers.
