Without going into too much details, we are essentially producing a high-octane action-comedy by the Film & Photography Society (FPS Productions) at UCLA. You can view our past work here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBK3z3CdW6k

As this is a student film catered directly for the festival circuit, we cannot afford to pay monetary compensation. However, this will be an unparalleled avenue for exposing your talents to distributors, festivals, and studios. With epic humvees, helicopters, car chases, and shootouts, this is not your typical student project and has extremely high production value that will be great for any reel.

SYNOPSIS

Left for dead in a mortuary, a test subject ‘D.I.C.’ starts his journey by trying to escape a military hospital while being pursued by the Army in the bowels of the Los Angeles river system. He has no recollection of his memory whatsoever, and all he knows is that he is wanted alive. With heavily armed Humvees hot on his tail, a high-speed car chase ensues along the LA River. Unraveling the mystery through brief flashbacks, Dic must uncover a sinister plot that affects the city as a whole, and come to terms with the fact that he may be the one and only key to a mysterious, adverse epidemic that threatens all who are involved.

Web: http://www.fps-productions.com – Eevee Valenzuela

8 breakdowns:
1. Male / 31-40 yrs. / Caucasian.
D.I.C. – Dic carries himself with the coolness of a suave bad-ass. Dic’s motivation lies in the conflict surrounding his loss of memory and trying to remain alive long enough to rediscover the past. Dic is an action hero who does not take himself or the situation too seriously. He would rather make a joke about the circumstances. Battling zombies and escaping from military prisons is basically another day at the office for this guy. Military/Firearms experience as well as British accent preferred but not necessary. – White male, 5′8′ and up, 30-40

2. Male / 41-50 yrs. / Caucasian.
GENERAL WHITE – An old white-haired Anglo with wrinkled features weathered from scrubbing blood and dirt off his face after gruesome battles. Herbert White joined the military and was sent off to Vietnam, Iraq, and later Afghanistan. His thirst for blood increased over the years along with his insanity. General White knows no mercy, never laughs (unless in the midst of killing zombies), and maintains fearful control of his equally bloodthirsty outfit. – White Male, 5′8′ and up, 40 or older

3. Female / 25-30 yrs. / Any Ethnicity. Requires Nudity.
DR. MERIDIAN – The sexy leading lady of this movie; think Megan Fox with a brain. Dr. Meridian is in her mid 20s with a fit body and long brunette hair. Before the zombie apocalypse, she was beginning her career at a hospital in LA but her family was killed and her brother mortally wounded. Recruited to curb the outbreak, Meridian uses her medical expertise to survive. Dic represents to her a chance to save her brother. Her priorities lie in the safety of the people she loves rather than the safety of humanity. She has compassion, but is disillusioned with an increasingly dark world. – female, 5′6′ and up, Under 30

4. Male / 41-50 yrs. / Caucasian.
DR. FARMER – An older fatter white male in his mid-late 40s. Farmer was the reigning surgeon and doctor before Meridian arrived, and is annoyed that she upstaged him with her knowledge and experience with zombies. He only cares about personal gain and treats the zombies in order to be one day known as the savior of mankind. Constantly asking for a larger salary and conspiring with mercenaries, he plans to overthrow Meridian in order to accomplish his goal. – White male, 5′6′ and up, 40-60

5. Male / 18-24 yrs. / Caucasian.
PRIVATE PARTS – White, early 20s, medium build. James Parts joined the General’s band of mercenaries after zombies killed his family. Not as willing to kill zombies as the rest, Parts’s decision to join stemmed from his desire to survive and help society piece itself back together. Because of his lack of enthusiasm to kill, the General gave James the rank of Private, only to make a joke out of his name. Parts is less serious than the other bloodthirsty mercenaries and enjoys being the comedic relief to intense situations. – White male, 5′7′ and up, 20-25

6. Male / 31-40 yrs. / African American.
LIEUTENANT MERIWETHER – Mid 30s, large, and extremely muscular African American mercenary. Ex-gang member- broke out of prison when the zombie apocalypse began and recruited by the slightly less terrifying General White. He’s known for killing other inmates and gang members who poke fun at his last name which is a little too dainty for his own liking. Meriwether is a fierce and cunning soldier who enjoys more than anything to hunt zombies. – African American male, 6′ and up, 30-40

7. Either gender / Any yrs. / Any Ethnicity.
ZOMBIES – Any race, gender, height, or weight. These zombies move with surprising speed, but most are still clumsy from massive brain damage. All zombies’ eyes are black with bodies covered in bloody sores and rotting skin. – Any ethnicity, height, age.

8. Male / 25-30 yrs. / Any Ethnicity.
MISC. MERCENARIES (helicopter, bridge, humvees, locker room): Tall muscular males of any race. These men move and talk with military expertise. They operate under the leadership of General White; capturing zombies is their sole objective along with the protection of the reemerging society. The mercenaries are intelligent soldiers able to adapt to the combat environments of the zombie apocalypse. These men represent the frontline between the fragile remnants of civilization and the zombie menace. Some have lines. Military/Firearms experience and own costumes preferable. – Any ethnicity, 5′8′ and up, 20-40.

At this time we are looking for a MALE and FEMALE actor to fill the following roles for the creation of our 2nd teaser marketing piece.Breakdown

Josh (height: 5′9-6′0. build: slim)* Josh –fraud investigator– (25-30) is a smart, strong, no bull investigator for a large government mortgage bank in the future. Josh wants to see justice done because good guys always win in the end. Though, as he soon realizes, the good guys are not the guys he works for.

Ezra (height: 5′6 – 5′9. build: slim)* Ezra (the arsonist) is a cute, yet dangerous, punkish girl (19-25) with the heart of a revolutionary. She blames her brother’s suicide on our country’s ever-growing dependence on credit. She’s resolved to wage war against the mortgage industry and then the fed.

The ideal candidate (for each character) will have the body type mentioned in the breakdown, as our animated characters have the same proportions. We are looking for someone with short or feature film roles to his or her credit. Please send headshot, resume, and a link to your reel (if you have one).

This gig is for full body motion capture, facial, and voice performance.

For more details on the film and our live action to animation pipeline, check out this video on our production blog:
