PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
D.I.N.K.s (Double Income – No Kids) is a contemporary dark comedy about a struggling freelance writer who finds success when he begins writing articles about couples who don’t want children and the bias and discriminating behavior of the parents in the predominately, family-oriented community where he and his wife live.

CHARACTERS

RICHARD BROOKS (35-45 Male )
Frustrated freelance writer. Good sense of humor. Soft spoken until pushed to his limits becoming crazed and obsessed with his cause.

RACHEL BROOKS (30-40 Female )
Hard working Legal Secretary. Career minded. Doesn’t want children even though her mother expected her to have grandchildren. She loves her husband and is supportive of his ambitions.

MAYOR FERGUSON (50-65 Male )
Mayor of a small family oriented suburb of Chicago. Always watching the bottom line (money). Can be politically revengeful when crossed. Sports a mostly superficial personality.

CARLOS (30-40 Male )
Richard’s Coffee House buddy. Married and divorced 3 times with 5 kids. Care free to a fault. Always giving advise (not necessarily good).

SKYLAR (25-35 Male )
The obnoxious next door neighbor. Likes to party, swear, drink, and do drugs, yet thinks he is the perfect role model for his children.

SIERRA HAGGERTY (18-21 Female )
A young woman about to be married whose determination not to ever have children makes her a huge fan of Richard’s D.I.N.K.’s articles. Head strong but a little “spacey”.

CHARLES (25-35 Male )
He is the Mayor’s aide, who is constantly watching over his daily schedule. He is Gay and his mannerisms are feminine. Fast talking, observant and dutiful.

SARAH FERGUSON (40-50 Female )
The Mayor’s wife. Always the model wife and mother. She spoils her daughter and can be extremely defensive.

BETH (55-65 Female )
Rachel’s mother, who has always wanted grandchildren but is hurt by Rachel’s decision never to have children.

Masterchef is a popular show in Australia that is now coming to the United States. To tryout for Masterchef in Chicago go to Sur La Table at Main Street Promenade, 55 South Main Street. Naperville, IL 60540.

The open call times are 11 AM to 4PM. Please be aware that the show is not casting pro chefs. They are looking for contestants that have a love of food and cooking without any professional experience. People who are chefs by trade will not qualify to be on the show.

Judge Mathis interns assist in the production of the show in a variety of ways and are a necessary component to what we do. We are looking for hard-working, highly motivated individuals who are seeking a career in the television industry.

We are looking for a part time commitment with flexible hours—generally 10-16 hours a week. No weekend or night shifts are available. Internships are not paid and are available to current college students that will receive school credit only.

Actors needed for bartender and taxi cab driver roles.

Bartender (African, 21-35) – Aloof, trendy and good at his job.

Taxi Cab Driver (Indian or Middle Eastern, 40-65) – Friendly driver who takes the lead couple to their hotel room but has trouble understanding them.

In this suspenseful drama, two strangers struggle to connect
through a language foreign to them both.

Premise: Basia and Hugo meet at the airport only to discover that they are both heading to the same medical conference. As a subtle attraction begins to form between them at the conference, Ramón seemingly distracts Hugo from Basia entirely. But when Hugo plays a game with his and Basia’s hotel keycards, the possibility of a more intimate connection suddenly presents itself.

Auditions will be on January 8th from 5 to 9pm and on January 9th from 12 to 5pm.

The shoot dates slated are February 12th – 14th and 18th – 21st.

Actors will be fed on set, credited, and will receive a DVD of the movie upon its completion.
