A cinematic musical about a girl trying to fit in and to figure out what true beauty is. It is an original musical. Please prepare a song that best compliments your voice type! Script sides will be provided upon arrival! Show up anytime between 5:30 and 10:30 p.m. We will not consider anyone who arrives after 10:30 p.m.

Character List:
Leala: The main character, cute, reserved but open about her feelings to audience, confides in Jean only. (Age 18-20)
Jean: Overweight, Leala’s best friend, never really shows her true self, till the end, can be assumed that she is confident about her weight until we see that it bothers her. (Age 18-20)
Mrs. Janice Hart: Very religious, jolly and perky. Leala’s mom. (Age 40-50)
Danielle and Lynette: Attractive. Snobby, mean and proud. One of the sidekicks to the antagonist. (Age 18-22)
Denise: Beautiful! The antagonist, queen snob, most of her meanness comes from her expression. (Age 18-22)
Gerome: open, friendly, warm, just a great guy, interesting, intriguing, mature and respectful (Age 18-22)
Shane: Leala’s little brother. Irritating, immature. (Age 14-17)
Penelope: the comic relief; jolly and the audience’s view of the bubblegum world. NOT A SINGING PART. (Age 18-20)
